July 27th – E-Learning Summer Showcase & Learning Symposium

On Thursday, July 27, 2006, the Human Resources Service Provider Consortium in collaboration with the Human Resources Line of Business/Human Resources Development Program sponsored the E-Learning Summer Showcase & Learning Symposium at Gallaudet University's Kellogg Conference Hotel in Washington, DC. The event brought more than two hundred Learning and Development Practitioners throughout the Federal Government together to discover how the strategic alignment of learning programs relates to an agency's business, the latest technology, and human capital management. Attendees participated in interactive workshops, and informative seminars from Human Capital Subject Matter Experts, and learned the Four Level of Evaluations from the renowned training evaluation expert, Dr. Donald Kirkpatrick. Also, the attendees explored online training solutions with 42 vendors responsible for developing solutions for government agencies. IMPORTANT: USALearning Is Transforming!

As of July 1, 2006, customers who previously used www.USALearning.gov for web-based training courses and services will visit the new www.GoLearn.gov site. The new GoLearn.gov site will offer participating agencies an upgraded Learning Management System with enhanced usability, robust reporting functionality, and greater control over the management of users and reporting functions.

After the migration of existing training content and services to the new www.GoLearn.gov, agencies that paid a fee for library access will automatically transition to the new GoLearn site at no additional costs, with access to the purchased libraries mirroring current usability. Agencies and individual users who are currently accessing only free content on USALearning and who do not plan to migrate to the GoLearn site, will need to complete unfinished courses on USALearning by May 31, 2006 to receive credit for their work.

You are a valued customer and OPM's GoLearn Program looks forward to continuing to serve your training and development needs. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the transformation of the USALearning site and the new GoLearn site, please contact GoLearn-info@opm.gov.
